Description: Map of 35 NSW-listed TECs occurring within the Greater Sydney study area. The mapping is derived from best available mapping products and expert input. This product is subject to ongoing updates. The methodology and scale of best available sources vary, with concomitant variation in currency, coverage, spatial precision and attribute accuracy. As a result, limitations of this map include, but are not limited to, the following:there are known gaps in coverage due to the lack of mapping sources in some locations within the study area (including, but are not limited to, the Grose Valley near Wollangambe, Ebenezer, Cattai, west of Mulgoa and west of Thirlmere)areas not identified as TEC may be TECareas identified as TEC may not be TECareas identified as a TEC may be a different TEC.Accordingly, property-scale assessments should inform activities, plans and proposals at the property scale. The Greater Sydney study area is bounded by the following local government areas (LGAs), and is inclusive of all LGAs within this area, to the coast: Northern Beaches, Hornsby, Hawkesbury, Blue Mountains, Wollondilly, Campbelltown and Sutherland.Areas of TECs located outside of the Greater Sydney study area are not represented in this product, with the exception of the following TECs:Blue Mountains Basalt Forest in the Sydney Basin Bioregion TECPittwater and Wagstaffe Spotted Gum Forest in the Sydney Basin Bioregion TECOutside of the study area, occurrences of these two TECs are identified in Lithgow City, Mid-Western Regional, Muswellbrook and Singleton LGAs (Blue Mountains Basalt Forest TEC) and in Central Coast LGA (Pittwater and Wagstaffe Spotted Gum Forest LGA). It is important to note that other TECs which may occur in these LGAs are not represented in this map. This product is subject to ongoing updates. See the 'VerDate' field for date. See report 'Map of threatened ecological communities in Greater Sydney' available on the SEED portal (seed.nsw.gov.au) for more information about this product.
